As most of you know by now, LANzac '07 Major Sponsor 'Gigabyte' have supplied two sample upgrade packs consisting of 8600GTS VGA Cards (GV-NX86S256H-B) & Motherboards (GA-965P-DS3P) to be given away at the event. Thanks to Gigabyte, LANzac participants don't have to be the best player or part of a winning team to have a chance at getting one of these fantastic packs as 2 lucky punters will be randomly drawn out to win. Gigabyte jumps aboard as Major Sponsor
How cool are Gigabyte! They were instrumental as the Major Sponsor for last years Event and have again pledged their support for this year's LAN. Gigabyte know that the LANzac Events represent Australia's entire UT community and realize that participants who travel from all over the nation are hardcore gamers. As an added bonus and timely gesture I might add, Gigabyte are supplying the LAN Event with 2 x Upgrade Kits made up of a Motherboard & Video Graphic Accelerator! That's right peeps not one, but two! Furthermore, the VGA's are going to be brand new soon to be released GeForce 8600 GTS (GV-NX86S256H-B). RedBull has Wiings
Red Bull were brilliant last year when they rocked up to revitalize all the gamers, and they'll be wicked again this year when the Red Bull Wiings Team once again sends down their brigade. Red Bull are just another example of a company who stays in touch with the community and realizes the importance of gamers and the need for stamina when on a UT fraggin mayhem mission. Red Bull has been, and still is the preferred drink for Video Gaming Freakazoids!
Venue Relocation
As most of you know by now, and due to circumstances beyond our control, the LAN Venue has been relocated to CYDUS LAN Centre 292 Victoria Street North Melbourne. Sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused, however the organizers have no doubt whatsoever that all the gamers will still enjoy an'Unreal' experience. Please refer to the associated forum and check your registration emails for detailed information.
Special shout out to 'Shiva' & 'Lightie' who are travelling from the USA & New Zealand respectively to attend LANzac '07. Onya guys! ^_^

WoOt another LANzac? That's right! We've made it through to our 4th Annual Event to be held again in Melbourne on the weekend of 28th & 29th April. It's been achievable by the ongoing popularity of Epic's Unreal Tournament series franchise along with the support and demand from the respective community, voluntary organizers, and our highly valued donors and sponsors.
This year's event will again have all it's usual great features while organizers will endeavor to theme LANzac '07 with an Unreal Tournament 3 flavour. Keep in mind that with the next generation UT3 just around the corner, LANzac '07 might be the last time for a serious 2k4 hit out! So if you dig any of the UT series games or are looking forward to UT3, it's a must that your get down to Melbourne for what's already shaping up to be another great weekend of UT fraggin mayhem!
Tournaments
Two Major Tournaments have been planned for this year's LANzac along with the possibility of two Minor tourney's and a host of novelty comps (if we can fit them in!!). We'll have UT99 CTF IG & UT2004 CTF Weps as the Major Tournaments, and they are expected to be running throughout the afternoon. We're also planning a special UT99 CTF Weps tourney to commence later that evening (which will be open to everyone that's participating in major comps too!).
Now we like to include as much of the UT community into LANzac as possibly, and because there's been a little canvassing for Onsalught of late, we'll do what we can to include it in some shape or form. So there could be a possibility of small UT2004 Onslaught Minor tourney happening too?
As per usual we'll also host a heap of spontaneous free-for-all novelties throughout the weekend. They're always popular with the UT crew and we'll do what we can to throw in a few goodies for prizes too.
Registrations Now Open
In order to attend LANzac '07, you will need to register your participation by filling out the details on the Register page. Once you have successfully completed the form, your name will appear on the Confirmed list shown on the front page. Please refer to the following 'Read Me' section prior to completing your registration. Only register once and be patient, we'll get around to adding you to the list!
Read Me
1. No Free Mail email Address - Thats right, freemail addresses such as Hotmail & Yahoo will NOT be accepted (please contact me if you have a problem with this)
2. You must activate the email link sent to you after you register - After submitting your registration form, a notification email will be sent out to your email address with an activation link within it. You must click on the Activation Link within that email to be confirmed or your registration will not be processed. After activating the link, an Admin will OK your registration and add your name to the Confirmed List on the LANzac '07 front page (it might take upto a day to process, so please be patient).
3. Fill out form correctly - Ensure you fill out all the requested items on the form and use a valid email address when registering or it won't get processed. If you have any questions or concerns about the registration process or event, either refer to the About section, or contact me directly.
Dedicated to our Good Mate!
This years event also has some extra importance behind it. A good mate of ours and fellow LAN organizer 'Computer Virus' was tragically taken from us recently in a motorcycling accident. He will be sadly missed by heaps of UT'ers but never forgotten, and knowing CV he would be wishing us all the best for yet another top event! So heres to you mate! ;)
